2025 Ford Maverick Trim Styles and Features

The 2025 Ford Maverick release date continued the lineup's three exciting trim models, the XL, XLT, and Lariat, while adding two more: the Tremor and Lobo. To help you decide which new truck you'll want to climb into, let's look at some of the highlights each variant offers.

The 2025 Maverick XL comes with five-passenger seating, six cargo bed tie-downs, and rear under-seat storage. You can tell the 2025 Maverick XL apart from many other new Ford trucks for sale by its bold black mesh grille with a black surround. Standard features include a six-speaker sound system, remote keyless entry, a 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, and an 8-inch instrument cluster display.

The mid-range 2025 Maverick XLT enhances exterior style with 17-inch Carbonized Gray painted aluminum wheels and optional LED bed lighting. The 2025 Maverick XLT interior boasts unique Navy Pier and Aspec Gray cloth seats and a rear armrest with integrated cupholders. The XLT trim also gives access to available upgrades like an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat and heated front seating.

New for the 2025 Ford Maverick, the Lobo variant makes the XLT model sportier with 19-inch Turbofan wheels, a unique front grille, performance-tuned suspension, a torque-vectoring rear drive unit, and more.

The luxury-oriented 2025 Maverick Lariat brings you more with standard features like a B&OĀ® premium audio sound system, heated front seats with eight-way power driver's seat adjustability, ActiveX seat upholstery, a heated steering wheel, remote engine start, LED headlamps with LED signature accent lighting, and 19-inch Machined-Face Bright Aluminum wheels.

Similar to the Lobo vs. XLT models, the 2025 Ford Maverick Tremor builds on the Lariat with off-road performance upgrades, including off-road suspension, underbody skid plates, Advanced 4WD, a rear drive unit lock function, and unique orange accents throughout the vehicle.

Ford Maverick Engine Specs and Performance

When it comes to power and handling, the 2025 Ford Maverick further refined the new style of truck it first brought to our lineup of Ford specials a few years ago. This versatile open-box hauler is built for city agility. Plus, it's a fun-loving truck that plays as hard as it works.

The 2025 Ford Maverick revision did bring a significant change: The previously available 2.5-liter hybrid engine now comes standard, and the previously standard 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine is now optional.

The standard 2.5-liter hybrid engine produces 191 combined horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque, while the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine gives you 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque.

2025 Ford Maverick Fuel Efficiency

Both the 2.0-liter EcoBoost gas engine and the 2.5-liter hybrid engine come with a 16.5-gallon tank. Regardless of the Maverick truck you select, you'll have an Easy Fuel capless fuel filler.

The 2.5-liter hybrid configurations deliver an EPA-estimated 42/35 MPG (City/Highway) 1 with FWD, while AWD brings it to an EPA-estimated 40/34 MPG (City/Highway).1

Only available with AWD, the 2.0-liter EcoBoost configurations deliver an EPA-estimated 22/30 MPG (City/Highway). 1 However, both equipped with AWD and this engine, the Lobo model gets an EPA-estimated 21/30 MPG (City/Highway),1 while the Tremor delivers an EPA-estimated 21/27 MPG (City/Highway).1

Ford Maverick Towing Capacity and Payload

Maverick trucks with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine can tow 2,000 pounds2 and offers this capability in AWD configurations. However, the 2025 Ford Maverick has a maximum towing capacity of 4,000 pounds 2 when the 4K Tow Package is added to 2.0-liter EcoBoost models with AWD.

The 2.5-liter hybrid engine can tow up to 2,000 pounds 2 in FWD and AWD configurations; the 4K Tow Package is not pairable with this engine.

The 2025 Ford Maverick has a maximum available payload capacity of 1,500 pounds,3 complementing the impressive towing strength with more than enough hauling capability.
