Ford Edge Interior Dimensions
The Ford Edge is a midsize SUV that uses its space well to provide comfortable arrangements for up to five people. Its first row offers 42.6 inches of legroom, 60.3 inches of shoulder room, and 40.2 inches of headroom. Meanwhile, its second row gives passengers 40.6 inches of legroom, 60.5 inches of shoulder room, and 40.3 inches of legroom, meaning that even adults will be able to relax and stretch out back there. In total, there are 113.9 cubic feet of passenger volume.
Of course, some of this Ford Edge interior space is flexible. Rather than having a Ford Edge interior trunk, it has a cargo hold behind the second row that can fit 39.2 cubic feet of belongings. Large suitcases usually measure less than four cubic feet as a reference point. You'll be easily able to load up this back area with elaborate science fair projects, golf clubs, large planters, or the boxes your teenager will need to move into their first dorm.
However, if you need more room and you only have one person riding beside you, you can fold down the second-row seats, increasing the space you have to work with to 73.4 cubic feet.
Beyond that, you can hook certain trims of this SUV up with the Class II Trailer Tow Package and tow up to 3,500 pounds.

2023 Ford Edge Trims
Besides its spaciousness, how your SUV is appointed greatly impacts your experience. Considering that the average American drives about 250 miles a week, a new vehicle purchase can make a big difference in your daily life.

The trims up to this point have mostly built upon each other in terms of amenities. However, the ST stands out for having a different powertrain from the rest. Its 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V-6 twin-turbocharged, direct-injection engine makes 335 horsepower instead of the 250 horsepower made by the twin-scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine on the other tiers. Therefore, not every perk from the Titanium, like a heated steering wheel, comes standard in the ST trim. However, it is an optional add-on. Due to this, we encourage talking to our team members to confirm that any model you're looking at has the features that are important to you before signing.
Ford Edge Packages & Accessories
While the five trim options already give you a lot of freedom of choice, you can also accentuate your SUV with our accessories and packages. For instance, you can add a Front 180-Degree Camera with Split View to your Titanium trim. Evasive Steering or Enhanced Active Park Assist System with Parallel Parking, Park Out Assist, Reverse Perpendicular Parking, and Forward and Reverse and Side Sensing Systems can also be an incredibly useful addition to your model.
While the heated front seats appearing on the SEL and above are wonderful to sink into if you love exploring the desert at night, getting the option to have them cool themselves can be even more useful on hot summer days. You can upgrade the rear seats on some trims to be heated as well.
Here are some other luxuries you might be interested in:
- Panoramic Vista Roof
- Power Tilt/Telescoping with Memory Steering Column
- Connected Built-In Navigation with 3 Years of Service, Pinch-to-Zoom Capability, Live Traffic, Predictive Destinations, and Route Guidance
- 110V/150W AC Power Outlet
- Cargo Net
Our team is determined to help you build the vehicle of your dreams with the right Ford Edge interior accessories. In some — but not all — cases, you can also have amenities added to an already-completed SUV with the help of the team in our service department.
Ford Edge Interior Colors
The entry-level SE comes in either Ebony or Dune cloth upholstery. The Dune is a medium tan color that can look good with the warmer exterior colors, so, for example, if you want a blue SUV, you might want to opt for the Stone Blue versus Atlas Blue.
The SEL level above the SE provides the same interior color options but in ActiveX seating material. You can also enhance your ride with the Sport Appearance Package, which has Navy Pier upholstery with orange stitching.
The ST-Line has only Ebony ActiveX seating, while the Titanium has Ebony or Medium Soft Ceramic ActiveX upholstery trimmed with FreeForm. The latter is a lighter tan than the Dune.
The ST trim has Ebony leather-trimmed seats with Miko inserts that can come with Race Red or Raptor Blue Accent Stitching if you choose to go for the ST Interior Appearance Package and the 401A Equipment Group.

Frequently Asked Questions About the 2023 Ford Edge Interior
How to turn off Ford Edge interior lights?
Your Ford Edge interior lights turn on whenever someone opens a door, you press a button on your SUV's remote control, or when you press a button on the map lamps. They should turn off on their own eventually. However, you can disable this functionality for the doors by pressing the right switch. Its symbol looks like a half circle made of dotted lines cut off by the word "OFF."
Does Ford Edge have 3rd-row seating?
No, the Ford Edge interior contains two rows that seat up to five people. However, if you are looking for something that can accommodate your larger group, our team at Bell Ford has your back. Check out the 2023 Ford Explorer or 2023 Ford Expedition SUVs. Our team will be happy to help you compare these models or take you on back-to-back test drives.
Do Ford Edge seats fold flat?
Your Ford Edge can come with second-row 60/40 split-fold-flat seats with fold-down armrests. You can also have versions with the Second Row EasyFold seat system to make increasing your cargo hold easier. During your test drive of your preferred model of Ford Edge SUV, ask our team for a demonstration of how to fold the seats quickly and effectively.
